Why can't I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates' everyday business purposes - information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

 

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?

Your choices will apply to everyone on your account - unless you tell us otherwise.

 


 

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
Magnifi Financial Credit Union does share with our affiliate, Ultum Group LLC

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
Magnifi Financial Credit Union does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.
Our joint marketing partners include insurance companies, card services, and financial services companies.

 


DIGITAL PRIVACY STATEMENT

 

What Information Do We Collect? 

Magnifi Financial Credit Union’s Digital Services App may access the following on your phone or digital device when using the app:  

  • Camera - allows access to the device’s camera
  • Location – allows access to location
  • Access to External Storage – allows access to files/media on the device
  • Contact List – allows access to and uploading of contact lists from the device
  • Audio – allows access to the device’s microphone
  • Phone State – allows access to information about the user’s device for device identification
  • Images – allows access to stored images on the device
  • IP Addresses

 

Do We Share the Information We Collect? 

We do not sell the information we collect.  However, we may use or share the collected information for device identification and marketing purposes.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

 

What Information Can Be Requested to Be Deleted By Magnifi Financial?

The Bank Secrecy Act requires that financial institutions retain customer, account, and transaction data in compliance with federal law.

Magnifi Financial does not share any SMS communication data with any third parties, including a participant's “Opt-in” or “Opt-out” status.

How to Opt-In
By completing the Magnifi Financial member service request form you can agree and opt-in to receiving the communications mentioned above. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for help, text STOP to opt-out. See our privacy policy. Your consent will not be shared with any third parties. We will not send you any texts without your permission.


How to Opt-Out
You can stop receiving texts from Magnifi Financial by replying STOP to any SMS message. Once you opt-out, you won’t get any more messages. If you want to start receiving texts again, reply START. If you are experiencing any issues, you can reply with the keyword HELP. Or, you can get help directly by visiting our contact us page.
